Why should I choose to come to Power of Touch over any other place in town?

Power of Touch prides itself on the fact that we only staff ourselves with the best of the best. To some that may sound sarcastic, to us it is just confidence. We strive to better ourselves as Alternative HealthCare Practitioners to provide the most up-to-date and effective techniques, therefore, we far surpass the continued educational levels of others in town. We also offer a wide range of Massage Therapy to include the house creation; The Scrubassage, as well as Certified Hypnosis Sessions and exclusive to Jacksonville; Aroma Steam Capsule Treatments all under one roof. Our goal is to offer a place where someone can come and truly facilitate a positive change in their lifestyle, naturally.

Why are your prices different than other places offering Massage Therapy in town?

We base our prices off of the national rate of $1.00 per minute plus additional compensation for continued education and time spent in the field. Our lead therapist, Melissa Fitta NC LMBT #3243, has over 8 yrs. of experience in the field and close to 1,000 hrs. of additional training. We feel it is important to keep the value of the field of Massage Therapy on high standards, so providing our services for exceptionally lower prices than the average national rate would only be demeaning our profession and is something we are not willing to do. With that being said, we do offer an array of client discounts as well as a Membership Program that also offers savings to our loyal clients.

What do I need to do if I have a reserved session and I need to reschedule/cancel?

It is important to know we are very strict with our Session Policies due to the fact our Practitioners are compensated on a per session basis. When you reserve a session with one of our Practitioners you are making a commitment to your health and their time, therefore if you are unable to make your session it is crucial to notify us 24 hours prior to your session to avoid any charges. We charge a fee of $35.00 for any session CANCELLED WITH IN 24 hrs. of your session start time. If you decide to NO SHOW you will be charged for the ENTIRE SESSION AMOUNT to ensure the Practitioner is compensated for their time that YOU RESERVED (if you reserved your session online or through email your credit card will automatically bill for the FULL AMOUNT reserved & this is something we CAN NOT reverse; if you reserved your session in the office & no credit card is on file you will be billed by mail the FULL AMOUNT; if you reserved your session with a Gift Certificate the FULL AMOUNT of the service you had reserved will be DEDUCTED from the value of your Gift Certificate). Giving a 24hrs notice allows other clients that may be on a waiting list, to be notified of the availability, assuring the Practitioner can continue to offer their services and not have unproductive down time. These policies help keep our cost reasonably affordable for everyone and show our Practitioners the respect that they deserve.

What can I expect if I am a new client at Power of Touch?

Smiling faces and a sense of relaxation is something you are sure to feel as you walk into Power of Touch. You will then be asked to fill out a Health History Intake form (be sure to disclose ALL medical conditions even if you think it won’t matter-it just might!), a Questionnaire and sign a Consent for Treatment form. Upon completion of your paperwork you will have the opportunity to meet your Practitioner and you will enter the treatment room to discuss your health history and desired outcome of your session. The Practitioner will explain the session they will be offering you in detail, then depending on the service you have requested, they may leave the room to allow you to disrobe( know NC LAW REQUIRES FULL DRAPING OF ALL CLIENTS RECEIVING MASSAGE THERAPY, therefore nothing will ever be exposed that shouldn’t be!). The Practitioner then re-enters the room and provides your desired session, then upon completion they will discuss any treatment plan they recommend for your individual needs and explain any suggestions/recommendations of self-care they may have for you to continue with your well-being at home. The Practitioner then leaves the room and allows you to have a few moments to recollect yourself and get dressed if your session called for disrobing. Once your session is complete, your Practitioner will walk you back upfront for check out/payment and to pre-book your next session. You will then be sent home with a Wellness Bag with goodies and information about the Practice and all the services that we offer.
